| Hi Everyone As said in my appliance : I'm a 20 year old French player, who debuted in Uni 4 (french one). I managed to develop an empire of 4M points before giving my account to a good friend of mine (3 years ago). I just started this universe yesterday (5th of July) and for now i'm having 17 points (yeah i know, it's kind of a shitty achievement ) I'm mostly a miner, and soon i'll need trading partners (first I have to develop cargos..... ) ==> I've choosen this alliance because several members of it are close to me, which is perfect for a quick and efficient trading - but also for raiding ^^ I also want to improve my English which is far from being perfect Except from Ogame : I love video games (I have both a PS3 and Xbox 360), I'm preparing a "Master Management, especialized in Marketing", which is the European equivalent of an MBA. Most of my spare time is dedicated to my true passion...... Music and more precisely Trance, Progressive Trance and Vocal Trance ! Europe is the land of Electronic Music, and as a consequence it is a great place for electronic events like Trance Energy which is my personnal favorite (It takes place in Holland - 40 000 clubers)! A quick view of the event : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TkKMH1FfZ3Q (watch in HD - fullscreen) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f5QoYYs-7S4 (This is the one you have to see if you only watch one ^^) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sRJB-e7E7yQ (best set of the night ) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bxUWSYYWe4w (watch in HD - fullscreen) I also mix, so, if you are interested i can share with you some of my sets ^^ PS : Is there an internal part on this forum which is not public ? In order to discuss about strategy, trading, share things, etc... | |

| I was about to watch your mix of music, but the file is so large it would take 2 hours to download! But the other videos you posted sound great. I guess its not very popular in America? | |

| Sorry for the size - If you want i can upload a smaller one of this mix but in a lower quality (My acces to the Internet seems faster than yours because it takes me 17 seconds to download - 100 mbps optical fiber) I would not say that it's not popular in the US cause you're having a truly good internet radio broadcasting Trance ( http://www.di.fm/ ) , but sure it's not as popular as Rap or RnB Here in France, it's the same, it's far from being popular (Electro, Electro pop, Rap and RnB are also the kings) - Holland, Germany, England as well as Russia are truly crazy about this kind of music i would say Great tune i've just discovered, produced by Ferry Corsten (Holland) under his System F nickname and remixed by the Spanish genius of uplifting trance Angel Ace : System F - Solstice (Angel Ace Remix) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uXLOQN0INI4Edit (extract from Wikipedia) : - Quote :
- Progressive trance has set in stone the basic formula of modern trance by becoming even more focused on the anthemic basslines and lead melodies, moving away from hypnotic, repetitive, arpeggiated analog synth patterns and spacey pads. Popular elements and anthemic pads became more widespread. Compositions continued to contain incremental changes (aka progressive structures), sometimes composed in thirds. Meanwhile, a different type of trance, generally called uplifting trance was becoming popular. Uplifting trance had buildups and breakdowns that were longer and more exaggerated, being more direct and less subtle than progressive, with more easily identifiable tunes and anthems. Many such trance tracks follow a set form, featuring an introduction, steady build, a breakdown, and then an anthem, a form aptly called the "build-breakdown-anthem" form. Uplifting vocals, usually female, were also becoming more and more prevalent, adding to trance's popular appeal.

- Immensely popular, trance found itself filling a niche that was 'edgier' than house, more soothing than drum and bass, and more melodic than techno, which made it accessible to a wide audience. Artists like Paul van Dyk, Armin van Buuren, Tiësto, Robert Miles, Above & Beyond, Darren Tate, Ferry Corsten, Johan Gielen, ATB, Paul Oakenfold, Aly & Fila, Pulser and Third Element came to the forefront as premier producers and remixers, bringing with them the emotional, "epic" feel of the style. Many of these producers also DJ'd in clubs playing their own productions as well as those by other trance DJs. By the end of the 1990s, trance remained commercially huge, but had fractured into an extremely diverse genre
